Interlude by Amouage, sold by the maker as Interlude Man (Interlude 53 is a different product). The top is bergamot, oregano and allspice (pimento berry), the heart includes amber, frankincense, cistus and opoponax, and the base is leather, agarwood smoke (oud), patchouli and sandalwood. We read a spicy-herbal opening that soon sinks into thick smoke of resins, leather and oud. It suits lovers of bold, smoky resinous scents; anyone who dislikes smoke will meet it throughout. We do not yet document longevity or projection.
According to the listed composition it opens with bergamot, oregano and pimento berry; the heart includes amber, opoponax, frankincense and cistus, and the base is leather, oud, patchouli and sandalwood. We picture a dark resinous scent in which a herbal, spicy start is veiled by incense smoke and a leathery, woody base. This is our reading of the composition, not a measured projection or longevity.
