Opus Magnum by French Avenue. According to the catalogue composition, the top is anise, elemi resin, cardamom, basil and bergamot, the heart tobacco, lavender, osmanthus, orange blossom, rose, sandalwood and fenugreek, and the base olibanum, vanilla, myrrh, birch tar, benzoin, agarwood (oud), Peruvian balsam, labdanum, guaiac wood, tonka bean, vetiver, musk and amber. We read this as an aniseed-herbal opening with elemi and basil, a tobacco-floral heart with lavender and fenugreek and a resinous finish with olibanum, myrrh, birch tar and oud.
