According to the retailer’s original note list, the top is grapefruit, bergamot, lime, lemon, a note listed in Czech as “pelyněk”, galbanum and thyme, the heart lily of the valley, jasmine, rose, apple, blackcurrant, pink pepper, juniper berries and vetiver, and the base benzoin, labdanum, ambergris, vanilla, leather and cedarwood. We read this as a green citrus herbal opening with grapefruit, galbanum and thyme, a floral fruity heart with lily of the valley, rose, blackcurrant and juniper and a resinous leathery finish with benzoin, labdanum and ambergris. The source does not specify the Czech term “pelyněk”: it can mean wormwood or mugwort, and we do not decide between them. It may appeal to those looking for citrus with herbs, leather and resins. We do not yet document longevity or projection.
