Patchouli 01 by Swiss Arabian, composed by perfumer Kevin Mathys and classed by the maker as a modern fougère. The rich top joins lavender, blackcurrant, bergamot, pink pepper, grapefruit, cardamom and a watery accord, the heart geranium, lily of the valley, elemi, orange blossom, pineapple and mint, and the base patchouli, cistus absolute, olibanum, oakwood, cashmere wood, vanilla and tonka. We read a fresh aromatic opening that gradually gives way to earthy patchouli with resins. It suits those who like patchouli in a more modern, fresher form. We do not yet document longevity or projection.

According to the listed composition it opens with lavender, blackcurrant, bergamot, pink pepper, grapefruit, cardamom and a watery accord; the heart is geranium, lily of the valley, elemi, orange blossom, pineapple and mint, the base patchouli, cistus absolute, frankincense, oak and cashmere wood, vanilla and tonka. The maker calls it a modern fougère; we picture an aromatic scent in which a fresh, fruity start passes into earthy patchouli.
